If either of these rare situations occur, it may indicate a serious condition and needs to be evaluated at once. Heavy vaginal bleeding (about one cupful or more) may mean a serious condition even if no pain is present. If either or both of these should occur, please call us day or night. Do not delay; if we temporarily cannot be reached, go directly to the hospital.
